Italian Cuisine

Italian cuisine is largely influenced by Roman and Medieval history, which is evident by the ingredients used in the dishes. For example, Tuscan tomato sauce is rich in tomatoes and good for dishes like pizza and pasta. The key is to use ingredients from local, fresh foods.  Italian cuisine has become a popular food to cook in the United States. It is now being served at more than 500 locations throughout the country. The cuisine has been adapted from the original Tuscan style of cooking and translates into healthy ingredients, such as olive oil, lemon juice, and a host of herbs and spices. This version is healthy for both the body and the soul.

Italian cuisine is probably one of the most popular foods in the world. Although the Italians are now a minority in the culinary world, their influence has extended to almost all parts of the globe, affecting even China. Popular Italian dishes include pizza, spaghetti, lasagna, meatballs, bruschetta, espresso, seafood, pizzas, specialty dishes like tortellini, gelato, and cappuccino, and many other foodstuffs.
